The color choice is critical because they create an atmosphere. Overview of things to know, even if the tastes and colors do not talk!

The primary colors are yellow, red (or magenta) and blue (or cyan). These are the three symbolic colors of earth, water and vegetation. All other colors are derived from its basic colors. Note that if you mix all 3, you get black. In decor, these 3 colors are rarely used “pure” but rather nuanced.

Secondary colors result from mixing two primary colors that are orange (red + yellow), green (blue + yellow) and purple (red + blue).

The colors are called complementary when they are opposite on the color wheel. It thereby provides contrasts: the complementary of yellow is violet to blue is orange, and green is red).

The colors are colors discordant feature common characteristics, such as the bright pink and red Bordeaux which are both derived from red. That’s like saying what are the colors in harmony, they are close to each other. (more…)
